FLIES! The Musical is a hit in Chicago

My longtime musical theater collaborator, Larry Todd Cousineau, and I cooked up some zany fun with our latest show, FLIES! The Musical! In the style of Glee meets Waiting for Guffman, it’s a show-within-a-show about a high school drama club doing an unauthorized musical parody of the classic novel, Lord of the Flies. The students get dropped off at an abandoned park to rehearse and get into character, but when their ride fails to pick them up, it starts to get dark and things take a savage turn.

Audiences at the Pride Arts Center in Chicago really enjoyed it, and the 8-week run was extended for two additional weeks. Our future plans for this show include an L.A. production. Stay tuned…
